Radio Pancevo Radio Pancevo ist ein Stadtradio, das 1980 gegründet wurde. Es wurde gegründet, um über lokale Aktivitäten und Nachrichten zu berichten. TV Pancevo wurde zu Beginn der 90-er Jahre mit demselben Ziel gegründet. 1997, als erstmals demokratische Oppositionsparteien Wahlen gewonnen hatten, wurde eine neue Redaktionsform, basierend auf professionellen und objektiven journalistischen Standards eingeführt. 1997 führte das Team von RTV Pancevo eine Form der Berichterstattung, basierend auf professionellen und objektiven journalistischen Standards ein und erweiterte sein Spektrum von der lokalen zur nationalen bzw. globalen Ebene. Während der NATO Luftschlacht in Jugoslawien wurde die Stadt Pancevo stark angegriffen. Da große Fabriken bombardiert wurden, rechnete man mit einer ökologischen Katastrophe. In dieser Zeit war RTV Pancevo eine der verlässlichsten Informationsquellen für die Bevölkerung, und das ist es bis heute. Im Mai 2000 wurde ein Teil der Sendeanlage von Behörden entfernt und wir können nicht mehr einen so großen Sendebereich wie vorher abdecken, es wird trotzdem weitergearbeitet. Petar Janjatovic, geboren 1956 in Belgrad, arbeitet seit 1977 als Radio-Journalist bei Radio, Fernsehen und Druckmedien und ist stellvertretender Chef bei RTV Pancevo. Radio Pancevo was founded in year 1980 by authorities of Pancevo with intention to cover local community activities and news. TV Pancevo was founded at the beginning of the nineties with the same intention. Such editorial policy was until march 1997 when, for the first time, democratic opposition parties won on elections for local assembly. The new editorial team came with new editorial policy based on professional and objective standards of journalism and extended from local to yugoslavian and global level. With that orientation RTV Pancevo draw attention of audience not only in Pancevo, but in Belgrade and other areas we covered. During NATO air campaign in Yugoslavia Pancevo was very often under heavy attacks, largest factories were destroyed and we faced ecological catastrophy. Our aim during those days was to inform people about all relevant facts and for them we were one of the most reliable source. And we still are. In May 2000 authorities took out our radio transmitter and now we are working with the spare one so we are not covering the same area we did before. But we are still working. Petar Janjatovic /born 1956 in Belgrade/ works as professional journalist since 1977 on radio, TV and print media. He is Deputy Editor in Chief on RTV Pancevo since March 1997
