KLUBRADIO.DE broadcasts live from the most well known venues (clubs) in Berlin, offering innovative and professional services in "rich media" over the internet.
Klubradio's broadcasts, which can be played around the clock, provide live recordings from some of the most famous clubs in the world. TRESOR, legendary techno mecca, WMF - sexy nomad-dacefloor, OSTGUT - electronic powerhouse and the cool-determined Hamburg PHONODROME. Other broadcasts include some of the "hottest parties in the city" (Berliner Kurier) and other special events such as Loveparade, NewYears 2000, Mayday / Dortmund, Juciy Fruits / Dortmund, Tempodrom, Klangkrieg / Podewil, Popkomm, Nachtrock / Volksbuhne, Expo2000, Berlin Beta, Off-ICMC... The list of international DJs and liveacts is long. The Klubradio principle is easy: GO TO THE SOURCE! No one knows better about the actual developments in the field of electronica as the clubprotagonists and only from the dancefloor tracks will become hits.
We offer no preproduced DJmixes, no generic reorganized chart playlists, only 1:1 real content. At the same time that leaves us neither with a legal problem nor an oversupply of possible choices. We see our future in time-based "Streaming Media" and not in document oriented download. Electronic dance music is allready a long data stream of releases, the DJ is the filter and the club is the medium. Nevertheless the stream is not a replacement for going out, but a real time, internet-flatrate-payment alternative to regular radio broadcasting.
Klubradio explores the close cooperation with the active participants, the clubs, DJs, the production, and promotion of electronic dancemusic, setting new regulations and moving the boundaries of internet standards into the club context. As a sideaspect, we can offer our Know-how as service. Klubradio is engaged as well in non-commercial spin-offs such as ORANG.ORANG.ORG, NETTIME.ORG or BORDER2000.ORG. We work in cooperation with media partners, music distributors, internet radios and record label companies. Recent examples of our partnerships: BETALOUNGE, BOXMANN, YOUWANT, POPKOMM, SONOX, DE:BUG, FLYER, FRESHMILK and ATRECORDINGS. We also coincide with "B2B" (a gateway to origanal club-content). Our partner: MUSICALIENS.DE, Munich Germany (FREENET's music portal and broadband streaming-host).
New offers from Klubradio in summer 2001 are as follows: rebroadcastings of club streams until the next event, our personal premium shows presented as archive files, experimental use of Robo-Voice-Moderation (1989), jukebox-streams (Expo 2000), Java-Chat-Tuner, currently in development. Since the beginning, Loveparade 1998 with over 100,000 people in the club program tuned in, Klubradio has grown a large group of devoted listeners. In the coming phase we will extend the server resources and appeal to a larger audience of listeners. The interest in the Berlin Club-Sound is world wide. Over the internet a club opens a new listening and media dimension. Electronic dance music will again test the field of institutionalised media formats.
